    Security Tips

Knowing the process and the requirements can help expedite your passage through the security screening. The TSA web site provides useful information, including:

You may also want to consider applying for one of the expedited screening programs, TSA PreCheck, Global Entry (which also provides TSA PreCheck benefits) or CLEAR.

  • MCO Reserve powered by CLEAR
    MCO Reserve

    MCO Reserve

    MCO Reserve powered by CLEAR

Now passengers without TSA PreCheck or CLEAR+ can book a time to go through airport security at MCO Reserve powered by Clear – it’s free.

MCO is proud to offer MCO Reserve powered by Clear.  MCO’s “Reservation Lane” allows travelers to plan ahead and reserve a dedicated security lane time slot for their party. Travelers can quickly and easily see and reserve an available time slot. This service is offered at no cost.

After reserving their slot and arriving at the dedicated MCO Reserve lane, travelers will simply scan their issued QR code and move directly to TSA to screen their boarding pass and ID and then proceed through the standard TSA security screening. Terminals A, B and C all have dedicated MCO Reserve lanes with a limited number of slots available each day. Travelers may book their time slot up to 7 days in advance.

Security screening times available from 5:00am to 5:00pm for flights departing between 6:30am and 8:30pm.

  • TSA PreCheck
    TSA Precheck

    TSA Pre✓® Trusted Traveler Program

    TSA PreCheck Airlines and Hours

TSA PreCheck provides low-risk travelers with a smoother experience at the airport security passenger checkpoint. The program is open to U.S. citizens and lawful permanent residents, as well as members participating in Trusted Traveler Programs including Global Entry, NEXUS and SENTRI. Enrolled members can travel with ease with no need to remove shoes, laptops, 3-1-1 liquids, belts or light jackets.  They can also access dedicated screening lanes when traveling on participating airlines at participating U.S. airports.

Normal operating hours for TSA PreCheck are 4:00 am to 8:30 pm but are subject to change based on operational needs. You can confirm whether the TSA PreCheck lanes will be open when you’re flying at TSA Pre✓ ® Checkpoint Schedule.

Please complete the application and schedule an enrollment at one of our numerous enrollment centers in Orlando, FL and surrounding areas, or stop by the enrollment center at MCO located in Terminal B, on Level 2, near Baggage Claim 23, which is open Monday-Friday: 8:00am–1:00pm & 1:30pm–4:30pm.

Enrollment Options on Day of Departure:

MCO allows travelers to enroll as they depart on their trip, with no need for an appointment.  Two options are available:

    • IDEMIA

IDEMIA’s TSA PreCheck Enrollment Ambassadors are stationed on the Terminal B side of the security checkpoint for Gates 1-59, Monday–Friday: 5:00am–11:00am. An added benefit is travelers who apply on-site will have access to the MCO Reserve Lane* at the security checkpoint for their departure on the day they complete their TSA PreCheck application.

The MCO Reserve Lane is located between the TSA PreCheck and standard security screening lanes at the security checkpoint to Gates 1-59.

Enrolling at the airport is even faster if the traveler applies online beforehand. TSA PreCheck enrollment requires proof of identity, proof of citizenship, fingerprint and photo capture.

Public Art

Art is an integral part of the overall design of the Orlando International Airport

“At the Airport” William King (1925-2015)

Below is a guide to the Public Art on display at the airport. The artists commissioned to create these works are of regional, national and international renown, and represent a variety of styles and media.

Art supports the airport’s unique design features that create an iconic and memorable sense of place for all visitors, known as The Orlando Experience®. Art connects the broad architectural spaces, light filled areas and green foliage to create a unique impression of Florida’s warmth, brightness and natural beauty.

Art also serves as a wayfinding element for the airport’s passengers; it introduces millions of national and international passengers and residents to the community’s appreciation and focus on the arts; and it provides a first and enduring impression of our community’s diverse cultural offerings.

The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority is solidly committed to a model program of art in public places, with pieces distributed throughout terminals A, B and C.

For more information please contact the Public Affairs department.

EMPLOYEE Art
Showcasing the Artists Within, annual employee contest and exhibition

Since 2007, the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority has collaborated with the National Arts Program for its annual employee art contest and exhibition. The program is for the employees, retirees and their immediate family members working at Orlando International Airport and Orlando Executive Airport, both operated by the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. The program ensures that creativity is recognized and validated, sometimes for the first time, with prizes, scholarships and awards programs.
