Traveling During COVID-19

IATA Travel Map

Many travelers are returning to the skies, or are at least starting to make plans for their first flight for some time. The most frequently asked question from these travelers is about current requirements for travel:

Do I need a Covid-19 test before flying?

Do I need a Covid-19 test to come to Orlando?

Do I need to be vaccinated before flying?

The answers to these questions change periodically, and vary depending on where the traveler is flying from, or to. The current requirements for destinations in the U.S. and across the world can be found by using the IATA Covid-19 Travel Regulations Map above, or the links below:

COVID-19 Testing Clinic

COVID-19 Testing ClinicCovid-19 testing is available at Orlando International Airport, Thursday-Monday from 7:30am-3:00pm. The AdventHealth clinic is located in the West Hall, opposite the security checkpoint for Gates 1-59 and offers both rapid RT-PCR testing and rapid-result antigen testing. The rapid RT-PCR test is subject to availability.

The SARS-CoV-2 assay uses real-time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) technology to rapidly (approximately 20 minutes) detect SARS-CoV-2 from nasal swabs. The rapid-result antigen tests detect proteins from the virus and are most accurate when performed within five to seven days of the onset of symptoms. This type of test includes a nasal swab and provides results in approximately 15 minutes.

Appointments are not required but may be made online.
