9/15/2011 - International Growth Helps Improve Overall Traffic At Orlando International Airport in July
ORLANDO, FL. - A nearly 6.8 percent increase in international traffic helped offset a slight (0.44) decrease in domestic passenger traffic in July at Orlando International Airport. "Numbers like these support our goal of attracting and establishing more international carriers and routes to service Orlando and all of Central Florida. Not only is it good business for the airport, it is good business for the community", says Phil Brown, Executive Director of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority.
Statistical Information for July 2011:
- International traffic increase 6.78 percent
- Domestic traffic decreased 0.44 percent
- Overall passenger traffic increased 0.26 percent to 3,271,795 in July
- Year-to-date overall traffic is up 3.35 percent

Orlando International Airport turns 30 and plans Community Celebration
On October 2, 2011 the Central Florida community is invited to join in the celebration at Orlando International Airport for "Community Day" festivities. Those in attendance will be treated to entertainment, music, dance, theme park characters, performers, airline giveaways, the "Share the Art" airport employee art show, a sidewalk sale by airport terminal merchants, complimentary parking and much more. The event runs from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
