10/13/2010 - Virgin America Arrives at Orlando International Airport
ORLANDO, FL. – Today Virgin America landed at Orlando International Airport (MCO) to celebrate the launch of a new, direct non-stop connection between Orlando and two west coast destinations, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Virgin Group Founder Sir Richard Branson marshaled the new Airbus A-320 to the gate following a water salute by the Orlando International Airport Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting department (ARFF).
Virgin America President and CEO David Cush present Orange County Mayor Richard Crotty and Orlando Mayor, and Vice Chair of the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority, Buddy Dyer ceremonial aircraft models. Sir Richard Branson, Virgin Group Founder also joined the celebration of the new air service for MCO.
