ORLANDO, FL. Travelers had more flight options to choose from in October at Orlando International Airport (MCO). Airlines including: Southwest, WestJet, Continental, Delta, AirTran, Air Canada, Midwest, Northwest, United and US Airways increased or started new service to Central Florida.
For the month, a total of 156 new weekly flights were added at MCO to destinations including Newark, New York, Minneapolis, Cleveland, Chicago, Kansas City, Washington DC, Denver, Milwaukee, Richmond, Philadelphia, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa and Calgary, Canada.
Octobers overall traffic numbers dropped slightly, down two percent at MCO with 2.6 million passengers processed through the facilities. (2,649,142)
At Orlando Executive Airport, the numbers declined about two percent for October with 12,535 total operations for the month.
In a recent survey, Orlando International Airport, Floridas busiest airport, was rated as the favorite airport of American travelers according to TripAdvisor.com, the largest travel related community in the world.
