ORLANDO, FL. Orlando Executive Airport (ORL) is once again playing host to one of the largest business aviation trade shows and conventions in the world. Last year ORL stepped up to the plate to host the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) event, at the last minute, after Hurricane Katrina impacted New Orleans.
This years show, running October 17th through the 19th, promises to be bigger and better than ever with the theme of "A Years Worth of Business in Just Three Days". Over 35 thousand convention goers are expected to generate over 30 million dollars in local economic impact.
"We are proud and honored to play host to this prestigious national convention once again. Not only does it infuse tens of millions of dollars into the community, it also showcases Orlandos "original" airport and highlights the convenience and importance of having Orlando Executive Airport in our community and the impact it has on our local economy," says Chris Schmidt, Deputy Executive Director of Airport Operations for the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority.
This years NBAA convention and trade show features over 110 aircraft on static display, for potential buyers, at ORL. In addition, over one million square feet of the Orange County Convention Center will also be used to show the latest industry trends, services and technical breakthroughs.
Orlando Executive Airport, located in downtown Orlando, serves business, corporate and general aviation aircraft. ORL will maintain flight operations during the three day event.
