ORLANDO, FL. For the second month in a row, Orlando International Airport (MCO) recorded over three million travelers arriving and departing. For the month of April, MCO had over 3.2 million passengers (3,213,051). This represents a 7.27 percent increase over this same period last year.
Helping to fuel the growth was a steady increase in international traffic. International visitors improved by more than 2 percent (2.08%) for the month bringing the total number of international visitors to over 200 thousand (208,375).
Orlando Executive Airport also reported growth. In April, total operations at Orlando Executive Airport increased by 9 percent (9.09%).
Orlando International Airport is now the 12th busiest airport in the nation, 21st busiest in the world and busiest passenger airport in the state of Florida with over 34.1 million travelers in 2005.
